Kids are so awesome because they have no filters (or less of them). I remember meeting my friend Morris' 4-year-old daughter a few years ago and the first thing she said was, "What happened to your hair?" Actually I think she aimed the question at Morris, like, "What happened to that man's hair?" And after I told her, she said -- again to her father -- "I want you to pay attention to me, not him!" Which I am hoping will lead to her being strong and forthright in her adult years, knowing what she wants and asking for it if she can't get it herself.
