I so want that Hendrix story to be true so I will not look into it. Vanderslice is a musical icon in the Bay Area. He started Tiny Telephone Studios (in Oakland now, after the SF office closed in 2020) which many great bands have recorded at. Vanderslice is connected to a ton of 90s-2000s indie bands. Too many to mention.
What is the connection between "We Didn't Start the Fire" and "Clint Eastwood?" Is there one? I'm actively working to make sure that Billy Joel song doesn't become an earworm....
