My worst habit is the over-checking of a post before its scheduled time. Like going back to recheck a door I really know I've locked, somehow I can't help rereading things one more time (just in case the system has suddenly decided to change everything!!).
Glad you can relate to the process! I of course exaggerate for effect but not by much. It is true that when I "finish" these pieces at 2 or 3am I inevitably am too bleary headed to catch all the grammar and errors. That's the benefit of getting it close to done a day early so that the last day you can clean it up and put a nice bow on it.
