Why subscribe/read Earworms & Song Loops?
Because, like me, you also get songs and jingles and repeating bits of media stuck in your brain and want to feel less alone. I’ll tell you all about the tunes that loop for me and weave an entertainingly relatable and often humorous personal story around them.
I encourage subscribers to contribute their own thoughts on each post in the comments. Earworms and Song Loops has a vibrant community of thoughtful readership. My wish is for this newsletter to be interactive. And if you happen to be a fellow Substacker, I would love to collaborate or help promote your newsletter as well.
I’m posting one newsletter per week at the moment, with the occasional bonus post, as life allows. There will also be the occasional playlist as well as a monthly "ReCOWmendations” feature, where I highlight songs, TV shows, movies, books, magazines, and even other Substack newsletters that have brought me joy.
Paid subscribers will receive additional specially curated playlists and other assorted goodies. And bucketsful of good karma for supporting the arts and storytellers like me!
Stay up-to-date
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. If you don’t receive it, check your spam or notifications folders. Please mark this as “not spam” or drag it to your inbox so that it keeps appearing in your main inbox.
Remember, you can always read new and archived posts at earworm.substack.com. If your email inbox is anywhere as overfilled as mine, this might be the best way to read it. The interface is better than the email one too.
There’s also a Substack app, if you tend to read on mobile devices. Click the button below to download.
Please share!
I am trying to build a community here of music, memoir and writing lovers, so if you know anyone who might enjoy what I’m doing, I thank you for passing my Substack along!
Lastly, if you have any suggestions or questions, you can email me at earworm@substack.com or ambidextwords@gmail.com. I’d also love to know how you found out about this newsletter. If there’s another writer I should thank for the referral or if it was via Notes or just a gift from the almighty algorithm.
Cheers,
Steve Goldberg
