Wow Steve, quite a list! I managed to listen to at least the first minute of every track, and played the ones that were clicking with me all the way through. So, two songs definitely resonated most strongly for me--Erasure and REM, which happen to be back-to-back. Of course I know the REM song but I had not heard the Erasure song. Like you, I was into them during the New Wave era but hadn't kept up. I love Andy Bell's voice, doesn't really matter what he sings! Likes: Kevin Parker-I thought his was a cool song. Groove Armada is interesting though I'm not sure I would listen to it over and over. Same for Gabriel--as you said, it goes well with weed and I haven't done that in a long time (it makes me even stupider). Metric are new to me, love their sound. And Joy Oladokun--what a great find! I'm way behind on my listening but I want to check out more of her stuff.

So, here's one you missed. The Corrs: "Breathless". I chose this particular clip because, well, it's mesmerizing. You'll see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXlPWeTJN9Q

Incredible list!!! Love REM, Erasure, Pavement… SIMPLY RED! Picture Book is an amazing album! Brought me right back to high school.

The Last Temptation of Christ soundtrack/score is so awesome- I used to put it on as a chill out and relax vibe a ton from 88-all the 90s. It was the one CD my first ex and I fought over 🤣 I brought it into the marriage, so I left with it. I was not open to trades on this! Hahahaha
